What we collect
We store a hashed (scrambled, one-way) version of your device ID and the email linked to your Google or Apple account. We also store a stable identifier from your sign-in provider. None of these can be reversed to reveal your identity.
What we never collect
Your name, raw email address, phone number, location, or any other personal information. We never see it and never store it.
How votes stay anonymous
Your identity and your vote are stored in completely separate databases that are never joined. When you vote, a one-time token proves you're eligible — that token is then destroyed. There is no way for anyone, including us, to link a vote back to a person.
Results
All results shown on this website are aggregated totals. No individual responses are ever published or accessible.

FairShout is designed with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 in mind. Because we do not collect or store personal information in identifiable form, privacy risks are minimised by design.
