Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026 — full terms coming soon.

🦘
We're still drafting the full legal terms.

The key points below cover how FairShout works and what we ask of you. Full terms of service will be published before the public launch.

What FairShout is

FairShout is an anonymous weekly civic polling platform for Australian residents. Each week, one question is posed per state and territory, plus a national question. You vote via the FairShout app and results are published on this website.

Who can use it

FairShout is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over. By using the app, you confirm that you are located in Australia. Geographic checks are in place to enforce this.

One vote per person

Each person may cast one vote per question per week. Attempting to vote multiple times — by using multiple devices, accounts, or other methods — is not permitted. FairShout uses device and account signals to prevent duplicate votes.

Your anonymity

FairShout is designed so that your votes cannot be linked back to you. We do not store your name or email address. See our Privacy page for full details on how anonymity is maintained.

Acceptable use

You must not attempt to manipulate, disrupt, or interfere with the platform, its voting mechanisms, or other users. Automated voting, scripting, or any other attempt to circumvent vote limits is strictly prohibited.

Changes to these terms

Full terms of service will be published before public launch. Continued use of FairShout after terms are updated constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The app will prompt you to review and accept any updated terms.
